Invisalign is a discreet way for adults to straighten their teeth, eliminating the need to wear highly visible fixed braces. Instead, teeth are gradually straightened using a series of custom-designed, clear plastic aligners. These are very thin and fit tightly over your teeth, so once in the mouth are virtually invisible. All you need do is wear the aligners for at least 22 hours each day. After two weeks simply discard the aligners for a new set. This continues until your teeth are beautifully straight. Another nice thing about Invisalign is its ease of use. Unlike fixed braces, you won’t need to change your diet or your oral care routine. You just remove the aligners for each meal and whenever you want to brush and floss your teeth.

Which Orthodontic Problems Can Be Corrected with Invisalign?

Invisalign is very versatile and can correct a range of orthodontic problems including issues with overcrowded or overlapping, unsightly spaces in between your teeth, or problems with your occlusion. It is not designed to correct serious orthodontic problems. During your initial consultation, we will advise you if Invisalign is an appropriate treatment choice. Every treatment using Invisalign is precisely planned and it normally takes a year or so to comfortably straighten teeth.
