We all experience occasional bad breath but persistent halitosis is embarrassing and can indicate an untreated dental problem. If you think your breath could use some help then please come and see us here at Apple Dental as we can soon diagnose the reason for your halitosis.

Treating Problems that can Cause Bad Breath

Halitosis can be due to untreated dental diseases including tooth decay and gum disease. Treating these problems will protect your oral health while freshening up your breath. Poor oral hygiene will allow odour-causing bacteria to build up and any food remnants not removed during brushing and flossing will gradually rot and cause bad breath. Our hygiene department can work with you to improve your brushing and flossing techniques, ensuring your teeth and gums are kept thoroughly clean.

If we cannot find a reason for your halitosis then we will suggest you see your doctor as occasionally it can be due to a medical problem.
