Dr Katie Metcalfe graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry (Honours) from the University of Sydney in 2011. She was awarded multiple academic prizes throughout her studies, including the Dr E John Williamson Prize for proficiency in dental ethics and University of Sydney Academic merit prize for academic excellence. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy, from the University of New South Wales.
Katie has experience in both public and private dental health practices in Sydney and rural NSW, and as a clinical supervisor at the University of Sydney. She has also volunteered in Cambodia, providing much needed dental treatment on disadvantaged children in rural areas.
Katie enjoys all facets of general dentistry, particularly the pleasure of meeting new people and making patients feel at ease during their treatment. She prides herself on her empathy, communication and attention to detail and always strives to make her patients feel safe and relaxed. Her gentle and friendly nature will ensure that your visit is a positive one. She has a particular interest in treating children and is passionate about preventative dentistry and making dental visits fun and enjoyable.
During her downtime, Katie enjoys travel, cooking and baking and spending time with her husband and young son.
