Chocolate Macadamia Orange Truffles

This festive recipe tastes wonderfully decadent and is the perfect holiday treat.


½ cup shredded coconut

½ cup unsalted raw macadamias

½ mashed avocado

½ cup milk powder

¼ cup cacao powder

4 ½ tbsp rice malt syrup

Finely grated zest from two oranges


  1. In a food processor, pulse the macadamias until coarsely chopped.
  2. Mix macadamias, cacao powder, rice malt syrup, coconut, milk powder, avocado and zest, before refrigerating for half an hour.
  3. Using your hands, roll cooled mixture into truffle-sized balls.
  4. Use a little extra cacao powder to coat each ball, rolling it evenly in the powder. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
